Wednesday

The day started auspiciously …………. Marcus was up first……… showered and back on board before anyone else was awake!!!!

By 0900 the sun was positively hot and people were baring legs and arms. We decided to give the bimini a shake down and managed to fold down the spray hood so we can still see the wind and depth instruments.

Behind the boat is the building with the appartments and restaurant……….after all the activity we were ready for breakfast and made our way up for the first al fresco meal of the year.

Back to the boat, where Mc Haggis helped us wave goodbye to Steve and Rosie.

Steve’s ‘Fyne Sail’ sailing school will do well up here…….they’re great people and we wish them lots of luck.

We decided to stop for lunch at Lochranza on the north of Arran……being Wednesday afternoon the shops were shut, so we made our way to the local hotel garden for a light lunch

Lunch in the garden......with these views? It's a hard life, but hey ho!

……what a treat this stop off was.

Refueled, we set off for Lamlash, but decided to detour to Brodick so that we were there for Dawn and Ian to catch the ferry in the morning.

Our last night after two weeks together…….the time has passed so easily and we’ve had good times to remember and lots of laughs along the way. Dawn and Ian treated us to dinner at The Douglas Hotel bistro……..Monsieur Mangetout couldn’t fault it! The food was cooked and presented to perfection and the young waiter gave us impecable service……..a perfect end to a perfect fortnight.
